College Football Playoff Prediction
This has been one of the most balanced college football seasons in a long time. It does not seem like there is one or two teams that will dominate and that we can predict right now to be in the championship game. Currently, there are six undefeated teams in the top 15 and there are a lot of really good one-loss teams like Texas, Oregon, Alabama, and Penn State to name a few. Imagine the playoffs were expanded this season.
I truly think all of the top 10 teams right now have a legitimate chance to win it all. These teams include Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State. Washington, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Alabama, and Penn State.
We could see a change in the top four as Michigan still needs to play Penn State and Ohio State. Depending on conference championships we could also see Alabama vs. Georgia, Texas vs. Oklahoma again, and Oregon vs Washington again.
With that being said here are my predictions on what the playoffs will look like at the end of the season.
1 Seed
Michigan Wolverines
2 Seed
Washington Huskies
3 Seed
Texas Longhorns
4 Seed
Alabama Crimson Tide
Just Missing the Playoffs
5 Seed: Georgia Bulldogs and 6 Seed: Florida State
I think Michigan is overall the best team in college and they will show that when they take on their toughest opponents down the stretch. Despite Alabama struggling at the beginning of the season I never like counting Nick Saban out and I think they are in perfect striking distance of the fourth spot. They need to hope Georgia wins out so their conference championship win looks even better. I think we will see two rematches from earlier this season in both the Pac-12 championship and the Big 12 championship. Washington will once again take down the Ducks and Texas will get their revenge from the Red River Rivalry game.
