New York Rangers Filip Chytil will miss the remainder of the season after having a setback in practice. He was injured in early November with an upper-body injury, which is suspected to have been a concussion. He faced a setback at practice this week when he was skating and fell. 

Columbus Blue Jackets Patrick Laine will enter the assistance program due to several injuries this season. He has had a concussion, an illness, and a collarbone injury that has forced him to miss most of the season. 

Vancouver and Boston are tied for first place in the league with 71 points. Canucks are 33-11-5 and the Bruins are 31-9-9. 

Auston Matthews is the first player to reach 40 goals on the season, ahead of Sam Reinhart (37), David Pastrnak (33), and Nikita Kucherov (32).
