VanillaBooty’s Week 10 QB Rankings

We back. Pretty proud of my rankings so far and would like to thank anybody who follows them (shoutout Rard). Let’s dive into week 10.

  1. Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs
  • Hasn’t been magical for the past two weeks but you’d be a dummy to think that there is anyone else who should be in this spot.
  1. Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles
  • Hurts has battled a knee injury the past two weeks and didn’t seem to miss a beat. Heading into the bye week he has 22 touchdowns and 7 INTs on the year. The Eagles should be the favorite to come out of the NFC this year.
  1. Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals
  • Sheisty season is upon us. I seriously considered moving him up to number two on the list but I think I need one more elite performance from the 2019 Heisman winner. Anyone who thought that this guy was in trouble after week 6 should feel silly.
  1. Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens
  • Lamar has proved the doubters wrong in 2023 and has Baltimore heading towards the top of the AFC going into week 10. This past week he didn’t post his best passing numbers but the Ravens ran the ball all over the place en route to a 37-3 victory. LJ may be a sneaky good bet to win MVP at the moment.
  1. C.J. Stroud – Houston Texans
  • My guy Stroud is a top 5 QB in football right now, plain and simple. He just became the first rookie to pass for 470 and 4 or more touchdowns in NFL history. Stroud has had the most impressive start from a rookie quarterback maybe ever. The Texans now have the QB, the coach, and the draft picks to give their fans (never met one) something to look forward to.
  1. Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars
  • T-Law moves up a spot in the rankings due to poor QB play from some of the top guys last week. The stats don’t look pretty so far but he’s played well and has the Jags cruising. This week will be his toughest test of the season as he goes up against the 49ers, who also added Chase Young at the trade deadline. DUUUVAL.
  1. Jared Goff – Detroit Lions
  • Goff firmly stays within the top 10 and has the Lions primed for the playoffs. The question is will he be able to maintain this level of play all season? I believe so, but I can’t comment on how he would fair in the playoffs.
  1. Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills
  • What the hell is going on in Buffalo? Losing Matt Milano really made this team tremendously worse.
  1. Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers
  • Herb stays put this week as he has been able to drag the Chargers back into playoff considerations. The Chargers are cursed every year, but I actually think they find a way to sneak in this year. Losing Mike Williams has hurt Herbert’s numbers but this could be his season to erase his past by winning big games on his own.
  1. Tua Tagovailoa – Miami Dolphins
  • Coming into this season I was never a big Tua guy, but he had been proving me wrong up until now. It seemed like he had figured out the flaws in his game by being able to be accurate at a consistent basis and have a quality deep ball but in the past couple of weeks, especially last week, the demons have returned. The Dolphins might not be as good as we thought.
  1. Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys
  • Dak played well enough for Dallas to stay close with the Eagles in week 9 but Dak always finds a way to screw things up. With that being said, it’s always funny when the Cowboys collapse and I honestly think they deserve it, before their final drive they had a 4th down attempt that failed on a pass to Tolbert. The fact that they didn’t even try and get the ball to their best player (Ceedee Lamb), who had been thrashing the Eagles, is laughable.
  1. Brock Purdy – San Fransico 49ers
  • Big week for Brock, the niners have lost their past three and the man himself has played probably the worst three games of his career. Purdy isn’t bad by any means but I’m definitely convinced that he isn’t as good as people thought he was.
  1. Will Levis – Tennessee Titans
  • He passed the eye test for me. Deal with it.
  1. Sam Howell – Washington Commanders
  • Howell is good, but he makes some of the worst plays ever sometimes. With good coaching I think he could be a good QB for a while, and with how the Commanders’ season has gone he will likely have a new HC. He needs to stop panicking when he doesn’t have a lot of time left, that’s when his worst throws happen.
  1. Russell Wilson – Denver Broncos
  • I mean, there isn’t anyone else to put here. The Broncos haven’t looked as bad so maybe they are a sneaky darkhorse in the second half.
  1. Geno Smith – Seattle Seahawks
  • Geno is alright. I don’t really have anything else to say, he played bad this week, but i’m sure he’ll look decent this week. He’s just alright.
  1. Matthew Stafford – Los Angeles Rams
  • He didn’t play last week, and the Rams looked awful. Stafford might be moved in the off-season, and whoever gets him would improve immensely.
  1. Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals
  • Happy he’s back. Potential Pittsburgh Steeler?
  1. Josh Dobbs – Minnesota Vikings
  • Hollywood couldn’t write a better script than this. How could you not get fired up when he came back and won that game on Sunday? The most impressive part of his performance was that he got thrown into the game without knowing his teammate’s names/the playbook and was able to bounce back from two turnovers as well. Love this guy. Steeler draft pick:).
  1. Derek Carr – New Orleans Saints
  • Carr has done just enough for the Saints to win games. He hasn’t been terrible this year and has put the Saints in a spot where they are considered favorites to win the NFC South.
  1. Gardner Minshew – Indianapolis Colts
  • Really fun guy to watch but his team isn’t great. I’m genuinely considering betting on them to make the playoffs though. They have a great run game, good young receivers, and G money himself but their defense is weak.
  1. Baker Mayfield – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Baker has become one of my favorite guys to root for. I know the Bucs stink and Todd Bowels really stinks, but Baker has made this team worth talking about this year.
  1. Kenny Pickett – Pittsburgh Steelers
  • I can guarantee you he will bounce around from 23-29 in these rankings this year. He finally had a first drive TD, but he missed so many throws on Thursday. I will root for him until the very end. Beat the Packers.
  1. Deshaun Watson – Cleveland Browns
  • The Browns will probably make the playoffs but it won’t be because of him.
  1. Jordan Love – Green Bay Packers
  • He won Last week, but let’s see how he fairs against the block numbered Steelers.
  1. Mac Jones – New England Patriots
  • Get the ball to Demario Douglas! Mac isn’t good but he’s not awful.
  1. Bryce Young – Carolina Panthers
  • C.J. Stroud must be haunting this franchise.
  1. Taylor Heinicke – Atlanta Falcons
  • Tough game for the boy, but the Falcon’s have a shot at the playoffs. If you have any kind of hope at accomplishing anything in this league, Taylor is your guy. He isn’t good.
  1.  Tyson Bagent – Chicago Bears
  • Fun at times.
  1. Aiden O’Connell – Las Vegas Raiders
  • Although it was the Giants, AOC got a big win for the boys this week.
  1. Zach Wilson – New York Jets
  • J-E-T-S, JEts, J—ets, jets. Aaron Rodgers would have taken this team so far.
  1. Tommy Devito – New York Giants
  • Punt on first down.
